The project was complicated because the restaurant to the ground floor had to stay opened. The façade was unstable because of the structure’s age, and the narrow spaces for the yard didn’t give the chance to use a crane and there was no place to deposit the materials.
Despite these many troubles the building has been entirely strengthened thanks to a new steel structure, installed with the help of a simple I beam, and then been restored.
