Time resistance and reduced maintenance

A roof has been added to the southern area of a railway terminal for a restructuring project. The existing roof has suffered, during the passing years, the strokes of an aggressive environment, due most  of all to the emissions of the old steam trains, nevertheless the structure has kept solid. The enlargement project was meant to safeguard the former Victorian style, thus many details have been reproduced with cast iron filigree and assembled using dome-head bolts to make them resemble to rivets. Moreover the use of steel has given the chance thanks to small yards, to minimize inconveniences to about 200’000 daily commuters.
